Plain-language summary: we use profile, workspace, usage, and billing information to run and secure the Service. Your private workspace is not made public by default. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your private research content to market to others.
1. Who we are and what this covers
This policy is issued by MarketKeel LLC, a Colorado limited liability company (“MarketKeel,” “we”), the controller of personal data handled through the MarketKeel websites and workspace at marketkeel.io and other MarketKeel-operated domains, AI-assisted features, decision briefs, and support channels. Linked third-party sites and data sources have their own practices.
2. Information we handle
Profile and organization information
Name, work email, organization, role, account identifiers, membership, and access permissions.
Workspace and research content
The questions, prompts, dashboards, notes, saved conversations, uploads, scenarios, and report drafts you choose to create.
Usage and technical information
Browser and device information, IP address, timestamps, features used, diagnostic events, and security logs needed to operate and protect the Service.
MarketKeel uses Vercel Speed Insights to measure real-user performance. After its production endpoint is verified, Vercel Web Analytics may be enabled for aggregate visits, coarse referral and device context, and selected conversion actions on a fixed allowlist of public informational pages. The analytics boundary rejects login, authentication, workspace, private brief, account, billing, API, and every other non-allowlisted route, and removes URL query strings and fragments before an event can be sent. These tools are not used for cross-context advertising. Market questions, private workspace content, report text, email addresses, and billing details are not sent as Web Analytics event properties.
Billing information
Billing contact details and Stripe identifiers for the customer, checkout, order, subscription, invoice, payment status, and entitlements. Stripe processes payment-card details in its hosted checkout; MarketKeel never receives or stores your full card number or card security code.
Communications
Information you send when requesting access, support, or deletion.
3. How we use information
- Provide profiles, organization-isolated workspaces, saved research, and purchased reports.
- Retrieve evidence, generate AI-assisted responses, and preserve requested context.
- Authenticate users, prevent misuse, investigate incidents, and keep the Service reliable.
- Understand usage, diagnose defects, and improve quality.
- Process payments, manage subscriptions and entitlements, and keep billing records.
- Meet legal obligations and protect MarketKeel, its users, and others.
We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. AI-assisted processing
When you use AI-assisted features, your prompt, relevant workspace context, and selected evidence are processed by model providers under agreements that restrict their use of the data to providing the service. We configure providers not to train on your content where the provider offers that control. Do not submit trade secrets, regulated personal data, material nonpublic information, or third-party confidential information unless you are authorized to do so.
MarketKeel's current external web-research lane is disabled. If it is enabled after the required approvals, an OpenAI web-search tool may derive search queries from your question and a bounded portion of the same-market conversation, retrieve public sources, and return source links. We would not intentionally include your name, email address, billing information, or unrelated workspace content in those research queries. Public sites reached through the research tool have their own privacy practices.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We share information with processors that run the Service — currently including hosting and delivery (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), payments (Stripe), secrets management (Doppler), AI model providers (which may include Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google), and email and support tooling — each receiving only what its role requires. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect safety or rights, to investigate misuse, or in a business reorganization where protections continue to apply. A private workspace is not intentionally published or shared with another customer by default.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, backups, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Billing, transaction, entitlement, and webhook-reconciliation records may be kept longer for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes. Backup copies expire on a schedule. To request access, correction, export, or deletion, email support@marketkeel.io; we may verify the request and must preserve what the law requires.
7. Your privacy rights (including Colorado)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling. Colorado residents have these rights under the Colorado Privacy Act; we honor them regardless of whether the statute's thresholds currently apply to us. Submit requests to support@marketkeel.io. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and Colorado residents may contact the Colorado Attorney General if an appeal is denied.
8. Security, children, and changes
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data we handle, including tenant isolation, least-privilege access, encrypted transport, and audit records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security; we will notify affected users and regulators of a breach where the law requires. The Service is a business research tool, not directed to children under 18. Our providers may process information in the United States and other locations. We may update this policy; material updates get a new effective date and, when appropriate, in-product or email notice.
